I was wondering if changing the original power to more power ,would it not hurt the turbo or engine since it was built to take the original power? I have a 12/2007 118d BMW with 143ps and wanted to know if it would harm the engine over time. I'm trying to understand as I have had friends that had chiptuning done in the past to have their engines break because of the added horsepower.
Any side effects for the chip tuning on the 118d BMW?

thanks for your posting and sorry for the late reply. We have already tuned many of the 318d's with 143hp. For us, it is very important, that the long time reliability is not affected in a bad way. Therefore we do not tune the engine to the maximum. So fare, we never had any problem with this engine/turbo.
