I took vacation hours from my job to get my ECU upgraded since they cannot do it on Saturday. I got to the shop early (07:17), he took the ECU out, de-soldered the chip, read it, emailed the data to Germany and......NO REPLY. He called Rene (USA HQ) and they could not reach ANYBODY. [don't forget I told the service tech to contact Germany to let them know that my vehicle would be in the next day]
I guess it goes without saying, but I will say it here: THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. I do not have endless hours of vacation time to spend at a service shop WAITING for Germany. Don't forget the dollars of my vacation time spent at the shop. It was approx $128. NOT happy about that I can say. AND.....the shop was screwed also because of his labor time gone to waste.
How can I trust in a company that: #1, cannot conduct business during OUR hours in the US and #2 cannot be reached by fax, phone, cell phone, internet, etc?
Tell my ONE good reason I should go back and HOPE that it will not happen again (other than their price). I demand close to perfection in everything I do and everything people provide for me. Upsolute was not even on the starting blocks. What the fudge?!?!?!?!

Update. I called Germany myself and they said they were OFF yesterday. How could the USA dealers and distributor not know this? I called Rene and basically he screwed up. He is responsible to the US dealers and he left them screwed as well as the customers! This is unacceptable. Again, I don't any reason I should take MORE time off from work to get this done.
